I believe there is a place for everyone in this highly competitive business.  The key is to understand who you are as a performer and a person and how to utilize your unique talents and quirks to help you rocket to the next level in your career.

Authentic Auditioning is based on the following principles:

1.  The Pareto Principle (Sometimes known as the 80/20 rule).  80% of auditions can be prepared for using a baseline selection of 20% of your repertoire.  Using this principle I can help you be ready to audition for almost anything immediately.

2.  Your authentic self is your biggest asset and also should be the informing principle of every choice you make in preparing for auditions.

3.  Auditioning can and should be fun!

4.  Preparation is a key element to a performing career. I will help you learn how to prepare effectively and efficiently.

5.  There is room for all of us in the world of performing.  We just have to know what we each have to offer.  I believe the more open and honest we are about our successes and failures in the audition room, the more we can enhance the experience and find more success.

Check out my blog for helpful suggestions and hard nosed advice on auditioning, performing and living the life in the arts.  With my help, you will always have an answer to the ongoing question, “But what piece will I use for this audition?!”  After Authentic Auditioning, you will know.
